I chose the song Mirdaf because I was touched by the meaning. One of my dancers in Los Angeles gave it to me and I just felt I had to do something with such a powerful song.

I took the idea of the "persecution" and/or chase and this is why some of the arm movements have to do with pushing away (the people chasing us) .

If you saw the dance, you can see that in the very end the dance goes towards the center all the time until the music fades. I did that because my wish and hope is that the Jewish people will stay strong together to chase their enemies back.
